With over 30 years of experience in the Political Risks and Credit Insurance Market, Meyseys offers tailored solutions to Clients Political Risks Insurance and Credit Risk Insurance requirements.
The Political Risk Insurance (“PRI”) market developed shortly after World War II with the advent of Export Credit Agencies (“ECAs”) with a brief to support national exports, Multilateral Banks and Agencies (“MLAs”) and Development Finance Institutions (“DFIs”). The Market now comprises of over 30 commercial Insurance Companies and Lloyds’ of London Syndicates
While PRI normally requires a cross-border element to the financing, Credit Risk Insurance (“CRI”), which is used to help a bank or company to manage the credit it extends to its customers and provide protection against the risks of a customer default, can cover domestic loans as well.

Mark Thomas
Mark’s career as Political Risks Broker has spanned over 30 years.
Prior to founding Meyseys, Mark built and managed broking businesses for Cooper Gay in London and Newedge and Lockton in Hong Kong,
Mark has been a regular speaker at International Conferences on the subject of Credit and Political Risks Insurance.
Mark presents to the internal Credit committees of lenders on the Political Risk and Credit Risk Insurance. He has written several articles for trade magazines on the Credit and Political Risks Market.
